Information:
Here's Ray O. Smith's Concretealo near Longford, Kansas. Ray O. could be a little crusty, it's true. I know he sure got tired of trying to explain to me how big a section is. (OK, it's a square, a mile long on each side. I finally got it!) But man, that giant buffalo he built that overlooks the Flint Hills is truly something to behold. In back of his house, he'd also put up a massive rock wall and a huge stone map of the U.S., using rocks he'd gathered from every state. Ray O. told us when his time came he didn't want to be buried in the cemetery because "it was full of dead people." He'd prefer being laid to rest under the buffalo. When we heard of his passing, we were happy to learn that his wish came true.
