Information:
When Russell graduated from high school, he received a full scholarship in architecture; but after one year, drugs got the better of him and he dropped out. After battling drugs and schizophrenia for over the last 30 years, Russell Easterwood credits the Kansas City Rescue Mission with saving his life. They took him in and gave him a place to continue painting, his passion since childhood. His paintings of vibrant colors and flattened space usually feature landscapes, marketplaces, religious scenes, and portraits. Russell has recently begun to receive exposure in a variety of one-man shows, opening to rave reviews.
