Junker House (Das Junkerhaus) - Karl Junker
1850-1912
Home environment

|
Information:
"Karl Junker, from 1890 till his death in 1912, worked covering his house with woodcarvings both inside and out. On the inside, all walls and ceilings are loaded with carved "ghosts." Everywhere one looks there are fantastic forms."
"All the rooms are furnished and all the tables, chairs, cupboards, chests, and beds are made, carved, and decorated by Junker in the same fantastic way. He himself never lived in any of these, preferring a small attic in the house."
