"In 1982 former blacksmith Raymond Morales created his own museum exhibiting towering, frightening sculptures made of welded metal. Their bulbous eyes and anguished faces loom over the visitor, the cumulative effect enhanced by their rusting metallic textures."
"Morales' domain of 5000 square metres lies along the Mediterranean coast, near Marseilles, and is surrounded by a high wall topped by threatening metal faces. Within it stand more than 700 menacing figures, many of them a hybrid of human, animal and insect forms. New works are continually added." 1
