Revolver Creek Stone Garden - Nukain Mabusa

?-1981
Environment with painted rocks

Information:

Revolver Creek, South Africa

"Nukain Mabusa began his artistic activities in the 1960s when he decided to decorate the two simple huts he had built to live in. Eventually his art spilled out onto the surrounding hillside of Revolver Creek. Mabusa painted the rocks and boulders in geometric patterns with dots and occasional stylized animal and bird motifs. The garden, while still intact, began to deteriorate after his suicide in 1981. Volunteers have repainted the stones and boulders." 1
