Savannah, GA Joan Cobitz 1933-2005 Drawings (pencil, pen, marker, etc.)

Information: Cobitz has been an artist from early in life and now her work spans decades. She studied printmaking at the University of Iowa under Mauricio Lanzansky and considered herself primarily a printmaker. Her work speaks of the complex relationship between men and women, the biology and physiology of being a woman, and tells us these stories in pictorial fables. She also composed still lifes with the objects from her kitchen, creating architectural tributes to the meaning of sustenance. Coastal Arts And Antiques
