Information:
"In 1963, at age sixty-eight, Sanford Darling began painting small scenes of places he had visited on two trips around the world. He put the paintings up in his house in Santa Barbara, but very soon he ran out of room. So he nailed his work to the outside of the house and went right on painting - for ten years - on the screens, walls, eaves, doors, refrigerator, chairs, ceilings and rugs.
Sanford never tried to sell you a philosophy of life; he just wanted you to return with a couple of kids to enjoy his world."
This environment has been dismantled. Individual pieces can be found for sale.
