Information:

"Ralph Fasanella was born in New York City and lived in Ardsley, New York, during the later years of his life. His work may be seen in photographic and in publications."

"There is one painting in the Ellis Island Immigration Museum in New York. In 1992 the Museum of American Folk Art started a fund-raising effort to acquire the painting "Subway Riders," which is now installed at the subway station at Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street in Manhattan."

From "Self Taught, Outsider, and Folk Art: A Guide to American Artists, Locations, and Resources" by Betty-Carol Sellen with Cynthia J. Johanson. Images are from Fasanella's City: The Painting of Ralph Fasanella With the Story of His Life and Art by Patrick Watson.
