Information:
Of the many occupations grassroots artists tend to come from, police officer is seldom one. Kevin was a New Jersey cop, whose wife died unexpectedly, and left him raising young children alone. Art became a therapy and an outlet, and as it's turned out, a pretty successful new career path. As the self-proclaimed "mayor" of his Newark neighborhood, Kevin walks the streets chatting with residents about their lives and loves, and salvages junk to make pieces that reflect what he's heard.
