Information:
In the early 1970s, an Englishman named Adrian Swain moved to eastern Kentucky to study art. He made friends with the locals and decided to stay. Those locals just happened to make up a large group of visionary artists, some of whose work was collected by Morehead State University. That collection became the centerpiece for the Kentucky Folk Art Center, and Adrian became its curator. The museum's rich in works by Garland and Minnie Adkins, Ronald and Jessie Cooper, Marvin Finn, Edgar Tolson, and numerous other notables from the area.
