Information:
Built: 1923-1948
John N. Gavrelos spent 25 years building "The Eye of the World," a carved and painted landscape of temples and figurines illustrating stories from the Bible. It sits behind glass in a room of the Lone Star Steakhouse Seafood & Grill co-owned by Dennis Schweinsburg and John Gavrelos. As of March 15, 2003 the room is being remodeled so you might want to check ahead. The Eye of the World was exhibited by the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore in 1996.
