Neil Olson's "Urethra Park" sculptures

Information:
Neil Olson's yard art has been called "disturbing." We liked it. Missoula, Montana, is a college town nestled in the mountains. I'll remember it as the place where, inexplicably, I enjoyed some of the best Cajun food I've ever had. We bought it from a little window at the back of a downtown bar. Who'da thunk it? It's also where we met Neil Olson, a biker who makes sculptures described by one reviewer as "weird and troubling," though he seemed like a pretty nice guy in person. He pointed out that the name "Urethra Park" was somebody else's term for his sculptural endeavors, not something he himself chose. However, the cow in the electric chair and the giant reptile munching a human form by the front fence did display a dark sense of humor. As for art training, Neil readily admitted that he had none. He says he's just an arc welderwith a love of model car kits leftover from his childhood and lots of curiosity. Neil did point out that if we planned to stay long in Montana, we might want to do like some of the best-known locals have Done, and polish up a manifesto or two.
