Information:
Sometimes there's nothing quite so lovely as obsession. A guy starts collecting something as mundane and everyday as hammers, hooks his wife into the same dream, and before you know it, he's got to put up a building next to his house just to have some place to put the darn things.
More than 2,700 of 'em at last count, and still counting. And we're not talking about 2,700 plain-old ordinary, everyday hammers. Oh, no, these are 2,700 different, unique, individual, no-two-the-same hammers. I'm talking about a load of hammers approaching the line between sanity and not. And Glenn and Judy Albrecht know about each and every one of em', because they've all got stories. With a smile and a laugh, and warmth that made us feel like family, these folks can talk your ear off about hammers.
Norborne, Missouri, where the Albrechts live, looks like a normal enough town. Kids play in tidy front yards, people know their neighbors, and the water seems safe to drink. But something infected Glenn and Judy with the hammer bug, and there's no known cure for that ailment. You can only hope to treat the symptoms, and for the Albrechts, that only means one thing. More hammers!
