Cathedral of the Prince of Peace (World's Smallest Church) - Karl Pruter
unknown
Religious/spiritual

Information:
Seats a few more than Our Lady of the Phone Booth.
It's not just signs that boast "world's biggest" that compel us to exit the highway. "World's smallest" will also do the trick.
In Highlandville, Missouri, Bishop Karl Pruter has built the world's smallest church, and that's the story he's sticking to. It seats 15, though I'm not sure that "comfortably" is a word I'd use in this case. I will say that I've never seen a smaller church. Pruter saw a picture of a blue cupola once, in a magazine, and he says he said right then and there, "Hey, if I put one of those on my old wash house, it'll look just like a church."
One blue cupola, some beautiful gardens, and a custom-built teeny tiny pipe organ later, and Karl was Bishop of the World's Smallest Church. Bishop Karl says, "we're just trying to serve people." And I like to think they're doing it in a really small way!
